A strong rain during the summer period in greece.

I was sitting on the porch during a storm so i decided to record the weather as i worked on my laptop. The mic was mounted on my laptop, so the sound of my keypresses travels into recording with what i consider a very pleasant bass-y thump.

Wind ambience i made in audacity.

Recorded on 1 phone 8 during a very heavy downpour in my back garden. Mainly heavy rain, but some claps of thunder too.

A retro-style dramatic sound effect for when something important happens in a game, animation, video, video blog, etc. Or it could work for other purposes, as well - just be creative!. This was recorded during a thunder night in skradin (croatia) in september 2014. A friend and i slept in a tent, but i couldn't with the noise that made the rain. So, i decided to record it with my zoom h4n. . . It's released for public domain: credit is optional, don't worry about it :).

Regular and continuous rumbling thunder. I stood at my back door and recorded the storm as it rolled by. No huge thunderclaps or lightning strikes, but a steady stream of flashes and rumbling that followed. If you need a prolonged active storm backdrop, this is it. Recorded on a tascam dr-40. Recorded a storm from my bedroom window using a zoom h4n pro.

The sound of rain on the roof of my car.

High winds over night recorded from the bedroom window. Trees opposite are 60 ft tall and bare. Wind gusts at peak 35-40 mph.

Rain falling on the plastic roof or a bus shelter.

Recorded on zoom h4n inside a tent and underneath a nylon tarp during a heavy rain fall. It starts off light, and gets heavy around the 4min mark.

Birds recorded from about 0430 in the morning. They include geese and gulls. This was a windy day. Some of the wind noise has been reduced, but it can clearly be heard. A pair of lom usi microphones were placed in a tree and attached to an olympus ls-14. Edited with ardour.

Recorded in my backyard with rode ntg-3 / dead wombat on zoom h6 recorder. Starts off with one decent short clap of thunder, but mostly rolling low rumble thunder and some rain here and there. Some of the rain drop sounds are sharp off of metal, some is just lightly hitting the ground. Some nearby trees blowing add to some of the ambiance.
